This complements the Social and Cultural Capital curriculum in school, where students are taught about keeping themselves safe and well.
HERE AT MEA CENTRAL, WE ARE COMMITTED TO SAFEGUARDING AND PROMOTING THE WELFARE OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead at MEA Central is Mr D Grimes, who is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. He is supported by our family Liaison Officer and Deputy DSL, Mrs S Downs and Lead Safeguarding Officer, Mr Pitts.
The team has a statutory duty to report any concerns they may have about the wellbeing of a young person to other agencies. If you have a concern regarding the safety or wellbeing of any young people then please contact the team immediately. If you are unable to do this then you should report your concern to Children's Services or the Police (if it is an emergency).
Mr Grimes can be contacted using the following email address: d.grimes@meacentral.org.uk
