IQM COE

We’re proud to have achieved Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence status, a nationally recognised accreditation from the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) that celebrates schools and organisations that have gone beyond meeting core inclusive practice standards to demonstrate sustained, high-impact inclusion and leadership. IQM’s Centre of Excellence Award recognises settings that not only embed inclusive practice across teaching, leadership, and community engagement but also actively share expertise, collaborate with other schools, and contribute to wider inclusive networks and research, helping to shape and spread best practice in inclusion at a broader level.

IQM

We’re proud to have received the IQM Inclusive School Award, a nationally recognised accreditation that celebrates our commitment to embedding high-quality inclusive practice at the heart of school life. Achieving this award shows that we have engaged with IQM’s evidence-based framework to evaluate and strengthen how we support every learner—regardless of background, need, or ability—across leadership, teaching, curriculum, culture and community engagement. It reflects our ongoing work to create an environment where all pupils are valued, supported, and able to thrive, and assures parents, staff and stakeholders that inclusion is lived in all we do rather than just written in policy.

TDT GOLD

The TDT Gold Award is the highest level of recognition given by the Teacher Development Trust (TDT), a UK-based charity dedicated to promoting effective professional development in education. It acknowledges outstanding commitment to building expert schools through high-quality continuous professional development (CPD), demonstrating that a school has excelled in strengthening teacher skills, leadership, and learning outcomes through robust, evidence-informed development practices. Only schools that meet TDT’s rigorous criteria across their CPD framework receive this prestigious Gold award, marking them as exemplars in professional learning and development within the education sector.

RFA

In 2018, we became the first school in Manchester to achieve the full Rainbow Flag Award, and we have successfully re-accredited at every opportunity since. The Rainbow Flag Award is a national quality mark that focuses on positive LGBT+ inclusion and visibility, underpinned by five key elements: skilled staff, supportive policies, inclusive curriculum, effective student voice, and strong pastoral support. Achieving and maintaining this award reflects our sustained commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where all members of our community feel respected, represented, and able to be themselves.

LPPA

We are proud to hold the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA), which recognises our strong, inclusive commitment to working in genuine partnership with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing. The LPPA highlights our success in welcoming families, communicating effectively, and creating meaningful opportunities for parents to engage with school life. Achieving this award reflects our belief that children thrive best when schools and families work together, and our ongoing commitment to listening to parent voice and strengthening these relationships over time.

Flair

In 2024/25 we were proud to achieve the FLAIR Silver Racial Equality Award, recognising our ongoing work with FLAIR, a data-led racial equity platform that helps schools assess and improve racial equity culture through anonymous student and staff surveys, insightful dashboards, and targeted action planning. FLAIR supports schools in using lived-experience data to understand strengths and areas for development in racial diversity, inclusion and belonging, and the Silver level reflects meaningful progress in that journey. Building on this achievement, we are now working towards FLAIR Gold in 2025/26, demonstrating our continued commitment to deeper racial equity action, stronger outcomes, and sustained cultural change informed by staff and student voice.

Belonging

We are proud to have achieved the Belonging Matters Charter Mark Award, a recognition from the Catalyst Connects: Belonging Matters programme funded by the UK Government’s Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. The Charter Mark celebrates schools that have developed and strengthened their practice in creating welcoming, supportive and inclusive environments for pupils, particularly those who have arrived through resettlement pathways, by engaging in a structured process of data collection, action planning and measurable improvement. The award reflects our commitment to promoting a genuine sense of belonging, wellbeing and integration for all pupils through evidence-informed practice and ongoing whole-school development.

FFT

We are proud to have received FFT Attendance Awards for each of the past two academic years, recognising our strong and sustained focus on pupil attendance. These awards place us in the top 10% for attendance when compared with similar FFT schools, and within the top 25% of all FFT schools nationally. This recognition reflects the effectiveness of our whole-school approach to attendance, our close work with families, and our belief that high attendance is fundamental to pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and long-term success.

Health Schools

We are proud to hold the Manchester Healthy School Award, which recognises our commitment to promoting the health, wellbeing, and resilience of our pupils and wider school community. The award reflects our whole-school approach to supporting physical health, mental and emotional wellbeing, positive relationships, and a safe, supportive learning environment. Achieving this award demonstrates our dedication to ensuring that wellbeing is embedded across school life, enabling pupils to feel healthy, supported, and ready to learn.
